Watched " The Passion of The Christ" a few days back, and was quite overwhelmed, not only by the violent and bloody and painful death of Christ, but by how human Jesus was.
The two scenes that particularly struck me was the starting scene, where Jesus was full of anxiety and fear, and also the scene where He fell under the weight of the cross (a nice looking cross I might say..), and Mary ran up to Him, remembering how Jesus as a child fell and how anxious she was.." Its ok.. I'm here..."
Its just so amazing how human God became. Was quite speechless after the movie.

Finally finished uploading the skin for this blog... I think its now pretty cool. =)
Liked especially the colours... very plain, very simple.

Anyway, went to Koorong today, browsed through the store a bit, picked up a copy of Delirious' "World Service" and Planet Shaker's " Rain Down on me" and also John Piper's " Pleasures of God".
When I was about to pay for it, however, I realised that I didn't have my atm card with me!

The embarrassment!!! ARGH!!!

Prepared BS material for OCF.
Was reminded of the Lordship of Christ and the laying down of rights.
I think the laying down of our rights is a big component of what it means to be His disciple.
Have to really ponder upon that for the next few days.

Today was also Open Flat day. Dr. Brooks invited us to her flat for tea and port. Chose tea of course.
Find that she has a very facinating flat, with many different cultures, artifacts and antiques in it.
Got to know her quite a bit, and hopefully she too, got to know us a bit better.

Borrowed Maha's bike today. Cycled to St. Peter's for volleyball training. It was good fun, in fact haven't had so much fun in quite a while. Was very glad to hear the sound of the volleyball being spiked. Get a real kick out of it.

Got the news that a certain dear brother had left the bachelorhood, he waited for quite a while before the girl agreed to being in the relationship. Was pleasantly surprised by the news but in any case, I'm really, really very glad for him. His patience and persistence(?) have paid off.

Other than volleyball training and chatting on the ICQ and updating this blog and checking my e-mails, didn't do much of anything else. Still have a couple of readings to do... but I think I'll leave that to tomorrow.

Tiring day. Lots of reading to do and tutorials to prepare. Tomorrow will be another full day, but I shouldn't complain, others have a worse time table than me. Can't wait for Friday.
