Going Fishing?
I think the hardest thing in fishing is the waiting part. Can't imagine myself fishing just for that fact. I can't stand it being bored waiting for the big bite. While we can use the most complex fishing techniques and use the most tempting bait to a fish, or throw our line in the deepest waters, it boils down to that waiting, and hoping.
Christ calls us to be fishers of men. An interesting analogy, and even more interesting was that Peter, James and John were real fishermen. Christ spoke their language that day, calling them to watch the waters, the weather, waiting for the opportune time to cast their nets and rake in the catch. No longer would it be fish, but souls.
While much preparation and thought can be put into street-e and e-night, I think its only God that will bring in the catch. What we are doing now is merely casting our nets. Let us now be faithful and trust in Him as He brings in the catch.

Jolly Shandy
Finally succumbed to pressure from my housemates and joined up the Fantasy Premier League. What cracked me finally was that even CASS(!!!) who had no idea of what soccer is signed up. Not rising to the challenge would make me look bad, but at the same time, my soccer knowledge is pretty dodgy too. Here's where Shel comes in.
Unlike me, Shel has been an ardent Liverpool supporter since young, and she followed the Premier League with her dad and brother. Unlike me, Shel's family were sport loving people. Not much persuasion was needed on my part, since her bro is in it too. It didn't take long before we decided to joint manage a team. Lets see if the Jolly Shandy can go far...hah..

So here I am, typing in front of my faithful Vaio... with no agenda or clue of what I shall blog about. Its been ages since I blogged, and ages since I journal my thoughts. I guess these things come with practice (and discipline). In any case, I had a rather interesting week, so lets do a review.
Monday went quickly. I skipped my FE tute because I haven't done it and want to attend the tute prepared. Had lunch with Shel, and then proceeded home to start on my management tute. It was a long reading and took me the whole afternoon to finish.
Tuesday breezed past as well, even though it was my longest day, it went by quickly. Met Del for coffee. Invited me for a game of poker, but had to decline as I already promised Shel I'd go over her place. She has a test the next day.
Wednesday is my day off! Can't remember what I did, most probably the Street E survey questions. Also finalised the songs I was going to sing on Friday. Shel said her test was ok...
Thursday... hmmm attended Michelle's tute for FE... William was late..heh... and then two uneventful lectures. Had lunch with Chok, Hubert, Daniel and William. Shel was having lunch in the area too. The third year dents were going to have a dinner on Sat and were going shopping. Went shopping with Shel after her classes and had coffee with a brother... it was a good session catching up with him.
Friday was a rush. Did some last minute changes with the song list as Danny didn't have two of the songs. Decided to teach "Burn". Rushed to Uni to print out the songs and met Shel. She had the afternoon off as she wasn't feeling well. Doctor gave her an mc. Let her rest in my room as I practiced my songs. Then off to OCF.
Saturday. Comm meets had always been a highlight of my week. Always good fun to meet up with my fellow commies and pray for the ministry and people. Reminded of how ministry should always be about people. Rushed to E-night rehearsal. Very impressed with the actors and dancers, and singers as well. After my scenes, rushed off home to get changed for Shel's half BDS. That was pretty good. Good food... as compared to college ball. Took photos but its all in Shel's camera.. didn't charge mine. Will post up pics soon. Went home after that as we were both pooped out. Waited for Maha to send her home. The boys came over to watch soccer. They were pretty loud so had a hard time sleeping... but thats ok.. it was fun hearing them cheering Liverpool and exclaiming (especially Wei Li) "Stevie G!!! How could you have missed?!"
Sunday. Too tired to move. Missed Tom Papania and Frontline. Lai Ping's coming over soon. Doing tutes and writing this out. Well, till next time!
