How can I put into words what has happened over the past few days? God really came through for me, reminding and convicting me of things I knew but had neglected. It really is kairos, a God appointed time for me in more ways than one.

Went to Koorong this morning for a quick look, ended up spending about an hour there. The need for next year's Bible study materials looms heavily on my heart, as well as discipleship materials. While we can differentiate our members, catering to what they need, I find it hard to dissect the Word. Categorizing certain parts of the Bible as "suitable" or "unsuitable" for our members is presumptious. I only hope that whatever that we cannot cover, they will cover themselves in QT. It is my desire that we feed meat this term. Meat that our members can chew and struggle on, yet leave them satisfied.

Anyway, I bought The Pleasures Of God(John Piper), Christian Basics(John Stott), Celebration Of Discipline(Richard Foster) and a Graham Kendrick CD pack.

Hmm, so dad came by for a couple of days, didn't do much. Had breakfast with him at Zuma's in Gouger and Pancake House. He went for a Barossa day tour by himself. Took him out for yum cha at Ding Hao with the boys and Shel and Cass, and also to Pondok Bali. Most of the time he was in my room sleeping or reading newspaper, sometimes watching tv. He's back in Singapore now... really different to have your parents around. I think I'm too used to the independence and freedom they give me. Felt quite restricted when dad was around, but glad that he came by.

Come to think of it, never really shown my parents my friends since I grew up without them. Maha, Wei Li, Cass and Shel are the first of my friends to have met dad. Wow.... They all left good impressions of course...

Well, Shel has finally caught on the blogging bug, and I must say her blog is looking really good. Might just get a new skin as well. While this NerdBerd skin is kinda funky, it doesn't really reflect they cafe/lounge feel I was trying to potray. Guess its back to skin hunting....

Just some quick updates, I'm reading Purpose Driven Life! Its been sitting on my shelf for quite a while, but never really thought I would need to read it. But, I realised that my foolish pride is hindering me from learning, so decided to give it a shot. The past 4 days has been pretty good, making me think of eternity and what I'm doing in preparation for that. Its humbling to know that I still have sooooo much to learn and so far to go. Yes, I do have foolish pride close to my heart. Can do without it though...

My equally phelgmatic father has decided to drop by on Saturday! Talk about a chip off the old block. Now you guys know who THAT nature of mine came from. Best part? He doesn't know what he wants to do here! I sms-ed him.. "so what do you want to do here?" His reply..." NOTHING, you decide..." Ok dad, I get you, you just want to relax right? You've come to right place.. 2/112 Gilbert Street is famous for its relaxed atmosphere...

FE test coming up next week... *jitters* should be ok.. I mean 2nd time right??!! *Gulps*
